Redlands Regional Jobs Committee Secures Funding & Unveils Action Plan!

Great news! We’re thrilled to announce that the Queensland Government has refunded the Redlands Regional Jobs Committee, allowing us to continue supporting local employment and tackling workforce challenges.

What’s New for 2024 and beyond?

With renewed funding, we’re excited to share our 2024 Action and Communications Plans. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:

1. Redlands Coast Futures Forum

We’re connecting youth with employers to boost work experience, traineeship enrollments, and informed career choices. We’ll facilitate discussions, identify barriers, and create a vision for the future workforce.

2. Grow Your Own Workforce

Our goal is to help diversify the local workforce, boost job readiness in underrepresented groups, and reduce job vacancies. We’ll connect small businesses to workforce advisors, develop local employment solutions, and promote employer education campaigns.

3. Redlands Coast Jobs

Our goal is to enhance job connectivity via the Redlands Coast Jobs website. We’ll track user data, analyse job vacancies, and develop job seeker guides to facilitate efficient job matching and reduce unemployment.

4. How to – Employ!

We’ll help small businesses improve HR practices with workshops, employer guides, and HR expert connections to boost employment retention and provide practical guides.

5. Redlands Get Skilled

We seek to help increase training enrollments and provide accessible training resources by maintaining and promoting the Redlands Get Skilled directory and advocating for new training offerings.
